# Notion

Automatically send every form submission to a Notion database, so you can track, organize, and manage submissions using the same workspace your team already collaborates in - no manual copy-pasting required.

Once connected, PipedForm will create a new entry in your Notion database for every submission, including the submission date and time, making it easy to keep a running log of all your form activity right alongside your other Notion content.

<Note>
  This is available on the **Paid** plan.
</Note>

## Setting Up Notion Integration

Follow these steps to connect your form to a Notion database.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create a Database for Your Form">
    Create a Notion database that you'll use to store submissions from this form.

    <Warning>
      Each column name in your database must match your form's field `name` attribute exactly (case-sensitive). Fields that don't have a matching column will not be inserted. All columns must use the **Text** property type.
    </Warning>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect Your Notion Account">
    Go to **Integrations** page, **Add Integration** > **Notion**. You'll be redirected to Notion to authorize PipedForm to access your workspace.

    <Warning>
      When authorizing, make sure to grant PipedForm access to the specific page or database you want to use - Notion only shares pages you explicitly select during authorization.
    </Warning>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Your Database">
    Once connected, open your form's Integration settings and select the Notion integration you just added. A modal will appear where you can choose the database you created.

    </Frame>
  </Step>
</Steps>

## **Data Sent to Notion**

For every submission, PipedForm creates a new page (row) in your selected database containing:

* All submitted form field data
* `submittedAt` - the date and time the submission was received

<Warning>
  **Notes:**

  * Column names in your Notion database must exactly match your form's field names, including capitalization.
  * All columns used to store submission data must be of the **Text** property type - other property types (e.g. Select, Date, Number) are not supported and will not receive data.
  * Fields without a matching column will simply be skipped and not inserted.
  * Make sure the database you select was shared with PipedForm during the Notion authorization step - databases not shared won't appear as an option.
  * You can connect multiple forms to different databases within the same Notion workspace.
  * If you revoke PipedForm's access from your Notion account, this integration will stop working until reconnected.
</Warning>
